Some positive things about my hair
So as you might or might not know, I cut my hair about 3-4 months ago. I went from mid back to shoulder length.
And I regreted it so.fucking.much.
I always wanted long hair. And when I got finally got them, I completely scrapped them. They were amazing about a year or so ago, but I dyed them over and over, dying them too dark at one point, and it was over. They started looking very stale and didn’t really curl as much anymore. The color was also horrible, it was a weird washed off dark red ish color. So yeah. Only solution was to cut them.
I’m sad I did it. I really miss my long hair very much. I wish I could get them back.
BUT. I finally found some positive things about this haircut/style this week:
- The color is finally stabilizing. The weird red is almost all gone, and my hair are almost all back to my natural color. Only the tip remains dyed, and it gives a nice gradient. So I don’t look like someone who hasn’t dyed their hair in ages anymore!
- They’re growing back super fast. I can already put them in a decent ponytail, and while they used to hover over my shoulders before, they now sit on them slightly. In a year I should be back to that very nice length I had back in sec 5!
- They curl wonderfully. I have a lot of volume again, and they’re almost long enough for me to use my hold high school curling technique (which did wonders back then and only requires water!)
- My bang is back to the side. It’s a change I made this week: I decided to dry my bang on the side instead of letting everything on the loose. And I got so.many.comments about it. None least then SIX people at work asked me if I got a new haircut and told me how great my hair looked.
So yeah. Overall I’ve been pretty unhappy lately with how my hair looks, so I’m glad to notice they’re starting to look decent again. I’m not gonna cut them again for a while, and I’m really determined to not damage them like I did before.
